Visiting Setsuko (Dr. Murakami) for the first time for a hearing evaluation and hearing aid adjustment, I instantly felt myself in capable, caring hands. She listens carefully, focusing her full attention on her client and perceiving both the technical and the personal components of questions. She went out of her way to help me with a unique and little-known issue, even referring me to an advanced researcher at the UW (her PhD advisor) she thought might know something about it (she did). Setsuko has that rare combination of high IQ plus high EQ that makes her a treasured resource for people seeking audiology care or advice. I believe she cares more about helping people than about $$, and she sets considerate prices that I suspect may be much lower than she could command. In addition, she found a gem of an office manager in Rene, who is also knowledgeable in her field and bent on being welcoming and helpful. I recommend Oasis Audiology wholeheartedly.

Over the course of 20+ years, I have had the help of 4 different audiologists. While I thought they were all helpful, it wasn’t until I saw Setsuko Murakami, Au.D. that I realized that hearing aids really do reliably help me hear in all situations.
I struggled with my hearing at work and at home constantly until she reevaluated me and the hearing aids I had relied on. She adjusted the hearing aids and for the first time in decades I could hear traffic and the car noises while driving. Of course, along with the improvement came the ability to hear people without having to ask my husband to tell me what they were saying. I could again participate in groups without fear of saying something stupid because I missed other parts of the conversations. It was an incredible breakthrough for me.
As in all areas of life, there is a difference of talent, knowledge, and ability, despite the same qualifications, Dr. Murakami is by far the best for hearing issues. She knows the brands of hearing aids, their accessories, and how to make them work best for each individual. Because of this, I am willing to travel From Arizona to see her for any issues and regular review. She is the best!!!!

I have accompanied my wife to her audiologist appointments for the past two decades. The first three audiologists were unable to fit hearing aids that allowed her to hear well. She was constantly asking me what she said. But Dr. Murakami changed that.
The third audiologist fitted us both with Phonak hearing aids 5 years ago. I used mine rarely but Dr. Murakami convinced me to wear mine daily to avoid compromising my future hearing health. And she adjusted my wife’s hearing aids much better than the prior audiologists.
Dr. Murakami then upgraded our hearing aids to Oticon this year and our hearing has vastly improved under her care. We will be loyal Dr. Murakami patients forever.
